On Friday, March 2nd PBS Supervisors, OE3-CEMA Business Agents, HIM Management and ESA Leadership held a “meet and confer” meeting to finalize a reclassification over a year in the making.

A group of about a dozen PBS Supervisors meet with their Business Agent over a year ago about the need to address the wage inequality that was created by the increased responsibility, span, and control that Supervisors have been tasked with. Along with their representative, they laid out a plan to secure an increase.

They filled out their PCQ (Personnel Classification Questionnaire). CEMA secured several meetings with the ESA Analyst and they prepared a PowerPoint presentation laying out their rationale for an increase.

Over the next months, CEMA continued to lobby the County’s ESA to finish the report. They meet with HIM leadership, County Exec’s Office, ESA to press their case. That hard work secured an increase for the PBS supervisors that should be effective in May. Big props to the CEMA Liaisons and Leaders in the department who held the unity together.

If you believe that your classification should be reclassified please contact your Mario Brito (CEMA Business Agent) or Zeb Feldman (CEMA Business Agent).
